Full4Health researchers take part in Explorathon 14
Event showcasing outstanding European research
Explorathon 14, an event jointly staged by the Universities of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Strathclyde took place on Friday 26th September, in celebration of European Researchers’ Night. The event was designed to showcase the outstanding research being carried out across Europe and funded by the EU. Simultaneous events were staged across the EU.
Full4Health PhD student Nikki Cassie, together with other academics from the University of Aberdeen, took part in a Café Scientifique event to win votes for their favourite European Scientist of all time. Nikki was delighted to win the vote (and a special trophy!) with her chosen scientist, Marie Curie.
Full4Health PI Alex Johnstone took part in a family fun event at Satrosphere with the “Kilted Chef”, Craig Wilson, discussing healthy eating, whilst also making pancakes, with fresh ingredients, both savoury and sweet.
Fresh from successfully defending her PhD thesis, Helene Johannessen gave a short talk about her work on Botox and bariatric surgery in Trondheim, Norway.
