Plenary Lecture published
Prof. Adan's Plenary Lecture at the Nutrition Society Winter Meeting is now available online
Readers of the Full4Health Newsletter will know that the Full4Health project was strongly represented at the 70th Anniversary Nutrition Society Winter Meeting at the prestigious Royal College of Physicians in London (UK) 6-7th December 2011. This cutting edge meeting brought together gut nutritionists, dieticians, policy makers, food industry representatives, enteroendocrinologists, physiologists, neuroendocrinologists and neuroscientists to foster new and closer links. The impressive list of oral presentations and posters provided an excellent overview of contemporary thinking in mechanistic aspects of body weight regulation.
F4H partner Prof. Roger Adan of the University of Utrecht (NL) gave the opening plenary on the role of the stomach derived hormone ghrelin in the anticipation of food. His excellent presentation has now been published in Proceedings of the Nutrition Society. For more details click here. Access furthermore the publication of the Nutrition Society winter lectures by Full4Health partners Fiona Gribble (University of Cambridge, UK) and Paul Smeets (University of Utrecht, NL).
